Berrien has made many famous wire sculptures such as Medieval Unicorn, this sculpture is based in a wild garden in the northwest Pacific. The Unicorn is made of thick white wire and in front of the dark shrubbery stands out and catches your eye. Another example of Berrien’s artwork is Sailfish, this is a 2d wire fish placed on a black background. The wires illuminate to make the fish stand out, this 2d sculpture is my personal favourite because of its ability to glow making it catch my eye.

Elizabeth Berrien has made many wire ads for the BBC in her wire series. The artwork was jaw dropping. The 2d sculptures were based on sides of concrete buildings. They were of many things such as aeroplanes dropping food and basic essentials to the poor. She was presented with awards such as D&AD in 2008. She was also nominated for the Yellow Pencil awards for outstanding achievement.

Elizabeth Berrien has had many major clients such as: BBDO; BBC; Motorola; National Park Service; Disney World; Hadley Exhibits; The Nature Company; various international architects and designers and many more.

Animals have always been a presence in Berrien’ s artwork. She lives on a farm on California’s rugged north coast with cats, dogs and horses, there are occasional visits from foxes, raccoons, bears and mountain lions.
Art professors and graduate students from around the world are researching Berrien’s innovative wire sculpture. She receives enquiries from many different countries such as: Japan; Australia; South America; Canada and the USA.
